Bolt-Together Grizzly Rock Screens

Built for the Most Remote Job sites

We’ve modified our proven heavy-duty grizzly rock screen design and modified it with shipping in mind. Whether you’re working on an island, deep in the backcountry, or in the Arctic Circle, getting the right materials where you need them can be a challenge. Road maintenance, foundation work, and excavation all require screened soil and aggregates that may not be readily available in remote locations. With our bolt-together grizzly rock screen, you can process local materials to meet your project’s needs without the hassle of high shipping costs.

A Shipping-Friendly Rock Screen Without Compromise

Shipping a fully welded grizzly rock screen can be expensive, especially to remote locations. That’s why we’ve designed our most popular models to ship flat and assemble on-site using just six bolts and heavy equipment. This design saves thousands in freight costs while still delivering the same heavy-duty performance and interchangeable screening options that make Bear Iron Works rock screens the most trusted in the industry.

Turn Local Dirt into Usable Material

A grizzly rock screen allows you to separate dirt, gravel, sand, and larger rocks, transforming raw material into structural fill, bedding material, topsoil, and road base—all essential for any project. If you don’t need the processed material yourself, you can sell it and turn a profit.

With screen sizes ranging from ¼” to 6”, you have full control over the material output, whether you need fine soil for landscaping or larger aggregate for road construction.

  • More Than Just a Rock Separator

Grizzly rock screens are not just for separating rocks from soil—they are versatile tools for a variety of industries:

✔ Landscaping & Agriculture – Clean topsoil, remove rocks from compost or manure.

✔ Construction & Roadwork – Create road base, structural fill, or backfill material.

✔ Municipal Applications – Filter trash and debris from beaches, parks, or public areas.

✔ Firewood & Logging – Remove soil and debris from firewood before selling.

✔ Mining & Quarrying – Separate valuable minerals or clean raw materials.

  • How to Screen Rocks and Soil

    1. Position your rock screen near your material source for efficient loading.
    2. Approach from the back (tall side) when dumping material—this prevents large rocks from rolling into your machine.
    3. Raise your bucket and slowly dump the material onto the grizzly rails—small material falls through the screen while larger debris remains on top.
    4. Clear out large rocks from the front and scoop out your screened material from the back.
    5. Repeat the cycle to quickly process your required volume of material.
